The Challenge of Continual Improvement

High-performance simply refers to how some individuals choose to lead their lives.

We set ambitious goals and have expectations of ourselves and others that we feel make the most use of our talents, abilities, and time.

External vs. Internal Challenge

In life, you deal with both external and internal factors. External factors include other people, projects, plans, issues, tools, and processes. Internal factors include attitude, mindset, self-talk, beliefs, perspectives, and emotions.

External

My results are lagging.

Our team is struggling.

My workload is overwhelming.

Our strategy is not working.

My role has high expectations.

Internal

Why am I struggling to improve?

How should I lead differently?

How can I manage more effectively?

How should I change my approach?

How will I live up to my potential?

In a coaching engagement, I am your co-pilot, working together with you to navigate your internal challenge, co-create a development plan, and integrate new behaviors to instill enduring change.

This level of client-coach partnership will change a limiting behavior, open you to new possibilities, set a path to achieve your aspiration, and improve the quality of the life you lead.

Our own unique experiences… our own unique challenges.

The things that make us individually unique – our mind, body, and spirit – also make some of our challenges more complex and difficult to navigate.

We are familiar with the various obstacles life can present in our professional life and personal life, and we find ways to work through them.

The deeper challenges are different, and can feel like a stalemate has been reached. This is when counsel and guidance are sought.

The frustration with these more complex challenges is they feel like and appear to be something we should be capable of doing. We might hear ourselves saying “I know how this should look, but…” and “for whatever reason, I can’t seem to…”

And what we might share privately with others might sound like “what I’ve been struggling with is…” and “I haven’t found a way to…”.

This is the time for the next step.

A next step in understanding the connection or obstacle in thinking that limits realizing the fulfillment enjoyed at our optimal best. To find the direction and momentum leading to our full potential.
